25 TYPES OF MODERN SLAVERY IN THE US – Final Session
Stop Human Trafficking! Awareness-to-Action Community Meeting
Thursday, October 3, 6 – 7:30 pm
Parkade Plaza Downstairs Boardroom
601 Business Loop 70 W, Columbia, MO
At the August community meeting we began to learn about the 25 TYPES OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING IN THE UNITED STATES based on a classification system developed by POLARIS, a leader in the global fight to eradicate modern slavery. The October meeting will be a conclusion of this important discussion about types of trafficking, trafficker profiles, recruitment methods, victim profiles, and methods of control.
The more you know, the better you can prevent exploitation of yourself and others, identify victims, report trafficking, protect survivors, and help prosecute traffickers.
Join with fellow Mid-Missouri abolitionists to listen, learn, engage, and be moved to action.
“TO ERADICATE human trafficking networks and help survivors, we must be able to identify and disrupt the manifestations of trafficking in our communities.”
