A Conversation with the BlacKkKlansman Ron Stallworth ’07

Spike Lee’s latest film, “BlacKkKlansman” (watch the trailer here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFc6I0rgmgY), was recently nominated for six Academy Awards. We are honored to count the person the movie is based on, Ron Stallworth, as one of our alumni.

Mr. Stallworth’s memoir, Black Klansman, is based on his experience as an undercover police officer in Colorado Springs, Colorado, in the late 70s. It highlights how he was able to infiltrate the local chapter of the Ku Klux Klan and stop many activities the group had planned.

Mr. Stallworth will be back on campus as our Schiffman Ethics in Society Lecture series guest on Wednesday, March 6, to engage in an in-depth conversation surrounding the film, his career and experience at Columbia College and many other topics.
