Mental illness and addiction are taking lives every day, making it more important now than ever that everyone is trained to help with Mental Health First Aid. With the right information and skills, you could respond to someone who is struggling and help them get the support they need. As a trained First Aider, you could respond in a way that could make a difference.
Mental Health First Aid is a public education program that introduces participants to risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems, builds understanding of their impact and overviews appropriate supports. This free 8-hour course uses role-playing and simulations to demonstrate how to offer initial help in a mental health crisis.
