Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services to host
Vaccine Clinic at Columbia Mall

(COLUMBIA, MO) – In partnership with the Missouri National Guard and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) will be holding a COVID-19 vaccination clinic Monday, April 19, and Tuesday, April 20, at the Columbia Mall, 2300 Bernadette Dr.

The clinic is located in the center hallway of the mall, across from Bath & Body Works. It is the clinic space typically occupied by Boone Health. One thousand appointments will be available each day of the clinic. The clinic will run from  8 a.m. to 6 p.m on both Monday and Tuesday.

Appointments are encouraged. Scheduling an appointment requires preregistration through the state’s Vaccine Navigator. Visit covidvaccine.mo.gov/navigator or call 877.435.8411 to set up a profile and complete registration. Please arrive at the time of the scheduled appointment and note that there is a 15-minute observation period after the vaccine is administered.

Walk-ins will also be available on a first-come, first-served basis on both days of the vaccination clinic. Anyone age 16 or older is eligible for a shot. The vaccine is free; no health insurance is required.

The two-dose Pfizer vaccine will be given at this vaccination clinic. Pfizer’s vaccine is approved for those age 16 and older. It is not recommended for individuals who have experienced a serious reaction (e.g., anaphylaxis) to a prior dose of a COVID-19 vaccine or to any of its components. For information about the Pfizer vaccine, please visit cvdvaccine-us.com/faqs.

Those who receive their first dose at the clinic should return at the same time three weeks later on May 10 for Monday appointments or May 11 for Tuesday appointments.

PHHS s taff and volunteers will run the clinic, along with help fr! om Missouri National Guard members. PHHS appreciates the support of Boone Health to set up the clinic and the Columbia Mall for providing the space.
