Please take some time to consider this information regarding an inclusive artsw program for diverse youth in our community.
From:  Linda Schust
I am the executive director of Jabberwocky Studios, a Columbia 501(c)3 charity whose mission is to build equity and inclusion through the arts. We have a variety of arts-based programs including dance (hip hop, break dance, African dance), slam poetry, mural painting, STEAM (STEM plus Art), a DJing program, paid internships in the arts, and outreach to incarcerated youth. Any family that qualifies for school lunch assistance can participate in any of our programs for free. (We ask for a donation in an amount that is comfortable for the family but there is no minimum donation.)
We are currently starting an inclusive theatre program. We hope to train diverse actors, directors and writers of the future in the realization that theatre is powerful way to build insight and empathy, and that we need to bring everyone into that world to share their stories from their own perspectives. As always, our tuition is low and a waiver is available.
If you are able to share our flyer within your network and/or direct people who may be interested to our website: jabberwockystudios.org, to find out more about how we may serve them, it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
