Mr. Clifford A. King is the recipient of the Sehon Williams Jr. Heritage Scholarship. 2022 was the first year of this scholarship in honor of one of the Network’s most esteemed members. Cliff’s teachers describe him as “focused” and having a “strong work ethic”. This aspiring young man will attend Moberly Area Community College working towards a degree in Business and/or Computer Science.

Ennin Rahman
Rock Bridge High School

Mr. Ennin A. Rahman has an impressive academic resume that includes graduating with an associate’s degree from Moberly Area Community College, alongside his high school diploma. He plans to attend Mizzou and then on to the University of Advancing Technology to pursue a degree in Computer Science. Ennin works as a camera operator and video titler, as a member of the Livestream Team at his church. His career goals include programming or software design, and consistent with his video activities, he dreams of becoming a self-sustaining indie film developer.

Chris Mesfin
Rock Bridge High School

Mr. Christopher N. Mesfin is an academic superstar headed to one of the Ivy League universities after graduation. In addition to his academics, he is a musician (plays the French horn and mellophone), heads up the Rock Bridge Speech and Debate Team, and started a non-profit (Vaquit), focused on educating peers on the adverse effects of vaping. Chris is a leader and mentor at RBHS and the sky is the limit for him. We can’t wait to see what this fantastic young man winds up doing in the future!

Ben Ruffin-Blueitt
David H. Hickman High School

Mr. Benjamin Ruffin-Blueitt is the outstanding scholarship recipient from Hickman High School. This young man graduated from high school with 39 college credits. Throughout high school, Ben was involved in concert band, marching band, and the pit orchestra. Deeply rooted in the community, he also participated in MU Emerging Leaders Conference, Missouri Boys State, and the MAC Scholars Summer Honors Academy. This young man will attend Alabama State University, majoring in Communications and Recording Technology. His goal is to become a music producer.

Tre’ Richardson
Muriel Battle High School

Mr. Tre’Von Richardson is an enthusiastic and energetic young man. As a student at Battle High School, Tre’ has been a multi-sport athlete and participated in COR Columbia, a program holistically serving male student-athletes to transform their lives through educational, experiential, and athletic opportunities. He is also involved in the community with various programs. Tre’ plans to attend Moberly Area Community College and wants to be a teacher. His career goal is to work in Special Education at the elementary or high school level.

*Each student received a $2000 Scholarship from the Minority Men’s Network Educational Foundation.
